WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas is located at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Days; no weekends

Cardiac Rehab Department Highlights

  • Offers unique Nursing opportunity
  • Will work alongside of Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, and other Cardiovascular specific Nurses
  • Outpatient Setting
  • Input on creating a safe exercise routine and providing education to patient
  • Very tight knit team

What You Will Need

  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;
  • One year of Cardiac Rehab preferred; Minimum of Critical care experience
  • One Year in Cardiac Strongly preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required
  • CCRP—Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional Preferred

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
